Hey, y'all. Sorry I'm late. It has been a busy, busy week. (It was busy last week, too...didn't get to post at all.)
Anyway, I'm here to put up something for Tempt My Tummy Tuesday. It's a blog carnival hosted by Lisa and her sister Lana. It is a lot of fun. You can really learn a lot in recipes, kitchen tips and product reviews. I hope you will join us.
One of my favorite products is cream cheese....whip that stuff up with a bit of sugar and I can just put my face in it....but I digress.
For my recipe for Tempt My Tummy Tuesday I am going to post:
Cream Cheese Squares (I have also heard this called "Neiman Marcus Cake")
ingredients:
1 stick melted butter
1 egg, beaten
1 box yellow cake mix

1 (8 oz) block cream cheese
~~~~~~~~~~~
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Combine melted butter, 1 egg and cake mix. Spread mixture in buttered 9 x 13 inch pan.
Combine remaining ingredients, beat until smooth. Pour over cake mixture. Bake at 325 for 45 minutes or until golden.
Sprinkle with extra powdered sugar.
Then SLAP YO MOMMA!!!

I make something sort of like this called Chess Cake. It's awesome!
