MAKING A HAPPY HOME MONDAY

Hey, y'all. I'm slow on Monday's...I'm sorry. I need to start working on this on Sunday night, huh?

OK. As some of you know, and as some are hopefully finding out, I have started hosting a blog carnival called: Making a Happy Home Monday.

The purpose is to encourage, and inspire, other women to make a positive difference in their homes. It can be as small as a vase of fresh flowers to as big as painting an accent wall. Won't you join me? Just hook up on Mr. Linky down at the bottom.

This is what I focused on. I have a few (OK...several) "catch-alls" throughout my house. The Fly-Lady calls them "hot spots" (I think.) I call it a mess!

I chose one of those areas and spruced it. Here are my before and after pictures.

This is my dining room table. I tend to be lazy and put things on the table (to deal with later.) Later is usually right before we eat...where it ends up in another hot spot, which I will focus on next time.

What is all that? New shoes, 2 rolls of shelf liner, a JBQ Coaches book, notebook full of coupons, recipe for tiramisu, laptop computer, JBQ question notebook and various other "crap" materials that need a home.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

The center piece is the finished project from last week...the pumpkins.

I got a basket and put some pumpkin spice potpourri in the bottom and then placed my fun, glittering pumpkins on top.

Join me!

I love it!! I don't like clutter myself... What is the print on the table cloth? I can't tell... I could see a nice center piece in the middle soon!
