MAKING A HAPPY HOME MONDAY

Hey, y'all. It's that time of week again. Time to make a happy home.

I host a blog carnival called "Making a Happy Home Monday." The point is to do something, JUST ONE THING, that makes your home a happy home. This is so easy to do. You can clean out a closet, wipe down the baseboards of your bathroom, or vacuum the cobwebs off your ceiling.

If what you do makes the area prettier, or makes your home run a bit more smoothly, YOU have succeeded in making a happy home. Please join me in encouraging, and being encouraged by, other women who are reaching for the same goal: A HAPPY HOME!

Take pictures if you can. If not, no worries...just tell us what you did! Leave a comment on the links you follow to let these ladies know you popped in. Be sure to link up on Mr. Linky down at the bottom.

So, you can probably tell by the above photo that I have a problem with clutter. So bad is my problem with clutter that I spent most of the past week "Making a Happy Counter-top" (from last week's post.) Clutter will NOT beat me!!!

Here you see a lovely old buffet complete with 3 weeks of newspapers, various books and spirals, a plant and other schmuck.

About 5 minutes later and you have:

(Granted, the floor wasn't done YET, but the papers were gone.) I have my Bible and a devotional on the right. On the left is where the mail gets stacked for DH to peruse when he gets home from his tour. (I don't DO mail....unless it's a cooking magazine, a cookbook that I "accidentally" ordered, or an Astronomy magazine."

JOIN ME AND MY FRIENDS IN MAKING A HAPPY HOME MONDAY!

I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOUR IDEAS!!!

This recipe looks so good. I'm thinking about buying a pumpkin or two when they are cheap after Halloween and baking them to use for recipes like these.
