IT IS WITH GREAT

Pride....and quite a bit of sadness...that I announce my oldest son's birthday. He turned 9 today. I don't know how it is that his time with me is roughly half gone. I grieve, already his growing up, out and away.

My son, always my baby, forever my first born, does not need me as much as he used to. He probably doesn't want me around as much, either....thankfully, he doesn't show it too often and is patient with my hugs, kisses and pleas to not grow too fast.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SON. I love you SO MUCH! God loves you. May you always enjoy health and happiness. Be blessed.

Les...that is so funny about "B." Mine was told by the local bully that he "smelled funny." To help him take care of any potential problems, we did a odor check (despite my #1 rule.) Anyway....WHOO!!!! So, he's been wearing deoderant for awhile now....he can stink up the joint with impressive efficiency. :D

Heh...you might as well put him on speed-dial. LOL! Christmas is my ALL TIME FAVORITE! with Thanksgiving a very close second. I start celebrating when the decorations start to show at WM. I take the kids OFTEN just to walk through the aisles of ornaments and stuff. I bake loads of homemade candies and other goodies...I read books (cooking and crafting) with a vengence, start playing the Christmas music the day after Halloween, start watching Christmas movies at the beginning of November (and watch my faves MANY times) (and even slip in a few in September.) I'm in holiday mode when the The Great State Fair of Texas opens :D which, according to my trusty ticker, is NOT FAR OFF!!!....well, I'm a big, overgrown kid when it comes to the holidays. I light up faster than any child at the thought of Santa Claus :D

I can not wait until the fair we have already been planning it and the girls are super excited.

Our neighbors child has to wear deodorant too. He started in 2nd grade. I guess some kids just develop more quickly than others.
